Large Vintage Dresser

A charming old dresser with leaded glass panels painted in Paris Grey.

This beautiful imposing dresser is very solidly made and has loads of charm and character. Arts and Crafts style handles and lovely carved doors give this dresser plenty of country appeal.

The glazed cupboard over has original Arts and crafts style handles and tulip design leaded glass on either side in green and red. Three wooden shelves allow plenty of room for displaying favourite china and the shelves also have plenty of hooks to hang cups from. Painted in Chateau Grey on the inside which is a soft green colour. There is a panel of decorative pressed glass in the centre with a floral design.

The glazed doors are in good condition for the age of the piece. Painted and lightly distressed to reflect its age and then the item has been waxed to finish. The dresser base top has had two coats of acrylic lacquer applied for extra durability.

There are three drawers to the centre which have been painted on the inside in Chateau Grey (green) with a space over (originally often used to keep the family Bible in). The cupboards each side have a single shelf and hve been roughly painted on the inside in Paris Grey to match the outer. Original metal handles have been lightly painted to enhance the decorative detail. There are also wooden catches on the doors.

This piece is in good condition considering its age but has visible signs of wear and minor damage to the top cornice (see pictures). The item splits into two for transportation but is still very heavy.
